Building a comfortable future

Headquartered in a former factory building in Providence’s Jewelry District, a start-up furniture-maker has just launched an Indiegogo campaign and its first suite of products. Almost as fast as customers can assemble its signature sofa, Greycork is on its way. In fact, after raising more than $240,000, Greycork has been called the highest-funded furniture project in Indiegogo’s history.

“My partners and I founded the company with the goal of creating a refreshing furniture option tailored for today’s modern user. Our backgrounds blend a manufacturing legacy with RISD design, and together, the team has created a line of furniture that assembles in minutes with no tools, is durable, well designed, and affordable. For people living in cities, buying, assembling, and moving furniture is very stressful. We aim to change that,” says Greycork CEO John Humphrey.

The Greycork living room set includes a sofa and chaise, coffee table, side table, and bookshelf. Every piece is designed to be shippable and easy to assemble. The sofa is delivered directly to your door in a 5.5″ box, ready to be put together in under 4 minutes with no tools. One customer told Greycork that assembling their couch was less hassle than getting his coffee machine loaded and going in the morning.

“We wanted to make it easy for you to keep our furniture for the long-term. It’s built to last and designed to be simple to disassemble, move to a new home, and reassemble without losing any parts or structural integrity of the product,” says Humphrey.
